What is Impressionism?
An art movement during the late 1800's that started in Paris.  The art can be characterized by tiny brush strokes, ordinary subject matter, and subtle qualities of light!

Impressionistic Artists you need to know!

Auguste Renoir-  Women in hats

Edgar Degas- The ballerina painter

*Claude Monet painted the same cathedral over and over during different times of the day.  Every outcome was different!
